To Whom It May Concern:
My elderly Mother, who is losing her eyesight, lives on the 9600 block of Halkirk Street (77379) in the Glenloch subdivision, east of Old Louetta Road, in Spring, TX, very close to Krahn Elementary School. Last Monday evening her two small dogs, a black male and a light brown female, both Dachshund mixes, respectively, got out without their harness collars, ran down the street and didn't come back. The male is chipped and goes by the name of 'Lucky', pictured, below. The female, named Lucy, had just joined Lucky as a companion, and was scheduled to be spayed and chipped. My Mother needs the dogs for companionship and security. PLEASE! If anyone knows where they might be located please let me or my cousin Amy know.
Michael Lovejoy: Ph 281 467 3961 (Live in Houston)
Amy Delaney: Ph 281 259 8969 (Lives in Magnolia)
Thank you.

Thank you for contacting AAR's Animal Adoption and Intake email site.
If you are emailing regarding an adoptable animal, your inquiry will be answered by email, or you may visit the shelter Tues-Sat 10-2.Did you find a dog? Post signs. Check online sites such as Nextdoor, Paw Boost, and Facebook lost and found sites. Email lostandfoundpets@aartexas.org to post on our blog. Take the dog to a vet for a free microchip check.
AAR does not pick up strays; call animal control in your county. If you are emailing regarding surrendering an animal in your care, please see the information below.
For info on surrendering a cat, email cats@aartexas.org
If you are emailing regarding surrendering a dog in your care, the dog must be friendly – anyone must be able to handle, feed, and groom the dog. AAR has a responsibility to do its best to insure the safety of the volunteers and the other animals in its care.
If the dog is friendly, please send a second email with any of the below information that you can provide. AAR understands that you may not have all info on a rescued stray.
1. Breed, size, color, gender – photo if available
2. Any veterinarian information: spay/neutered, current on vaccinations, on heartworm preventive
3. Temperament with other dogs, cats, children.
4. Why are you surrendering the animal? If a stray, where and when found.
Even if the dog is acceptable for the AAR adoption program, there is no assurance as to when space may be available for the dog. As a no-kill shelter, space is made available by adoptions.
Thank you for being interested in a rescue shelter. We welcome you to ask about volunteering; AAR always needs people who care about making a difference for the homeless animals in our communities.
