Hello!

My name is David Barron and I am contacting you because I recently took a found dog into my home and am curious what options I might have for taking care of him. The dog followed me home a block or two on my bike ride home late Friday 1/12 night. I first saw him at Quitman and Cochran, right by Northside High School, and he followed me to my home which is a few blocks away on Cochran, between Halpern and Hays. See the attachment for the "story-map". The dog is about 50 lbs, medium to large build, black and white male, non-neutered.

There are lots of stray dogs in my neighborhood, and because I commute by bike full time, I often try to be friendly with them. Typically their response is to flee as they are skittish, but the dog that followed me home was very friendly to me and approached me. He didn't have a collar or anything like that on and appeared to me to be neutered, though I realized later that he is not neutered. Figuring he was someone's pet, and because it was very cold out, I took him into my home for the night and have been trying to locate the owner ever since, without any success. He seems to respond to a few basic commands, "sit" and "lay down", and "stay" a little bit, and is very very sweet and well behaved. He hasn't gone to the bathroom inside a single time in the 2-3 days we've had him, and in the limited supervised interactions we have allowed between him and our 3 dogs and 2 cats, he has behaved very normally. He'll get excited and playful with them, and is not aggressive whatsoever at any time.

He very well may be a very smart stray, so we are now thinking about longer term options in case we cannot locate his owner, as we are not prepared to have a 4th dog. We would be happy to foster him in our home if we can find a program to foster him through, so we are curious about exploring any options you may think are applicable for our situation! Feel free to contact me via email or phone (my contact details are in my signature) any time of day.

I have CC'd my wife Katy on this email as well. She can be reached at 713 206 1792. I have also attached a few pictures of the dog as well as the map of where I found him like I mentioned before.

Thank you,
---

Looking for a Owner and/or Rescue for this sweet pup! He is a young Shepard. Neutered. No chip. Needs a fenced in yard as he is not a fan of the leash right now. Curious about cat but not sure if he would chase them. He walked right next to me to my house yesterday without a leash. Appears to be in pretty good health with good looking teeth. He does have some itching at scabs from either scratches or bug bites. He back feet seem to be tender. Not sure of cause.

He was found at in Stone Creek Ranch behind Community of Faith Church at Becker and 290. Just past Grand Parkway. May have come from Fairfield or surrounding neighborhoods in that area. Please share on any community pages.

Found on Jan. 2, 2018.

Found white pit

I took a dog in that looks like she was dumped a few days ago. We wanted to get her out of the weather that was coming. She is a white pit/pit mix. I have a large male, and keeping them in the house together is a real challenge. We've been unsuccessful in locating her owner, and need to find a plan for her. I don't want to put her in a shelter cause they tend to kill these dogs. I don't mind fostering for a little while until something can be figured out, but I need some help to help her, Thanks. Hello,

I live in Spring, Tx and have 2 lab-mix dogs that we rescued from the cold last night. I believe they were dumped because they have been seen in our neighborhood for several days, they do not have collars or microchips. They are very sweet and friendly. One is male and one is female. However, we can't keep them because we already have two dogs (one is a rescue). Please help. Thank you for your time and effort in advance.
